Kinships are light sculptures that capture the interconnectedness of family through glowing form and antique textile.

The doilies used in these particular forms, were collected from many families, passed down through generations.

Rich with ancestral significance, the doilies act as focal points that weave fragments of the past with the (or into) present. Their lace-like patterns unveil intricate webs when illuminated, echoing trails of lineage and memory that shape our identities.

Kinship invites you to reflect on the fluidity of relationships, the bonds that bind us together, and the way light—like love—passes through generations, revealing even the most delicate threads that bind us to our ancestry/histories/lineage. 

Each lamp is made by hand making each edition a completely individual piece.
