Cells floor lamp
‘Cells’ refers to the hexagonal prismatic cell system of honeycomb.
The hexagonal prismatic cells of a honeycomb are one of nature's most efficient and fascinating structures, created by honeybees to store honey, pollen, and shelter their larvae
As well as referencing shape and structure, the shade sections are also soaked and finished in beeswax, offering a drum skin like texture and warm glow even without illumination. Specks of pollen are embedded in the bark pressed Washi paper.

The cell shades are crafted individually, then fastened together and secured onto a solid timber base, making it a permanently configured fixture.

Beeswax soaked Kozo paper, waxed cotton cord stitch, recycle-able acrylic, aluminium, stainless steel, Australian timbers.

The LED Cob and Driver have an approximate 10 year lifespan, replacements and or advice will be available when required. International plugs available

Each design is hand made to order in all respects, making each edition a completely individual piece. Due to the individuality of hand made work, minor contrasting symmetries may occur. We consider these perfect imperfections that add unique qualities to each lamp made.
Timber bases are carved by Australian woodworker Sam Creasy.
Wooden components are subject to timber availability and can vary slightly in grain. Timbers are stained and waxed to ensure consistency in tone.
Hand made lighting requires a level of skill and attention to detail, please consider this in conjunction with the approximated lead time.
